First it was “Let’s Move!”
Now, First Lady Michelle Antoinette Obama who “loves” French fries and whose “biceps and behind” are envied by women everywhere wants Americans to “Drink Up.”
As in plain “old-fashioned” water. Whether it comes from a faucet, an underground spring, a rambling river or a plastic bottle, the message is: “Drink up.”
The new campaign is simply “encouraging” children and adults to head to the faucet or grab a bottle of H2O.
“I’ve come to realize that if we were going to take just one step to make ourselves and our families healthier, probably the single best thing we could do is to simply drink more water,” Michelle said in a statement.
“That’s it — it’s really that simple. Drink just one more glass of water a day and you can make a real difference for your health, your energy, and the way you feel.”
“So Drink Up and see for yourself,” she added. “My daughters have become more alert after they began drinking more water.”
“Water is the best and easiest choice we can make to feel energized, focused, healthy and refreshed. You are what you drink, and when you drink water, you’re at your best, so drink up.”
As for the first lady she’s walking the walk: “She is a water drinker from morning until night,” said Sam Kass, executive director of “Let’s Move.”
Drink water? Hmmm… “brilliant” suggestion!
Why didn’t I think of “doing” that? All these times when I was “thirsty” I had no idea what to do.
I can’t wait until Mama Moochelle starts telling me how important it is that I “breathe” and go to the bathroom when I feel I have to “relieve” myself.
I guess the corporations that sell bottled water must have “contributed” huge amounts to the Obama campaign last year.
Can’t wait to see the price of bottled water “sky rock” to levels only the 1% can afford it!
On the other hand, what “difference” does it make? Half the country’s been ”drinking up” since the economy tanked!
At least she isn’t thinking about starting a “war” like her hubby Barry.
Don’t give up yet, kids. Along with your “tiny new lunches”, you can now have all the “water you can drink!”
