Jay Cutler Barbecue

The Bears season is slowly turning into a “barbecue”, so you probably won’t be surprised to learn that “Bears” fans are making their own “barbecue” at home using Jay Cutler’s jersey.

After Chicago’s 55-14 loss to Green Bay,  several fans decided that they were finally “fed up” with Cutler and that it was time to “burn” his jersey as a way to “send a message to the Bears organization.”

Cutler threw “again” two interceptions, including a “pick-six,” in the loss and dropped to “1-11″ all-time against the Packers.

“Because Jay Cutler sucks, do our team a favor and burn your jerseys,” the fan says in the video below. “Get rid of them. Let’s send a message to the Bears organization that he sucks and we need to get rid of him. It’s a start to improvement. We also need to get rid of the coaches, but let’s start with Cutler.”

You’ll also “notice” in the video that this guy makes a Cutler like “bad decision” by having his gas can “so close” to the fire, but that’s neither “here nor there.” Let’s just watch.

Don’t think for “one second” that the video above represents the only Cutler jersey “burning” ceremony that took place in Chicago, because you’d be wrong.

The guy below got his “wife and son” involved.

“I’m burning his jersey, but like Jay Cutler, it probably won’t even burn, it will probably just smolder and throw a couple of interceptions,” the man says.

His wife then asks, “Are we Packers fans now?” “No. But the Bears should fire everybody.”

It seems that at the “very” least, the Bears now have a “theme” for the rest of the season: “Barbecue fire, Jersey fire, Fire everybody.”

No one is “setting” Aaron Rodgers jerseys on fire, but it is somewhat “surprising” that they didn’t all spontaneously “combust” considering how “hot” Rodgers got in the “first half” against the Bears.

Maybe if Jay Cutler “treats” his team mates with “Christmas” gifts  like Aaron Rodger does, then they would “perform” better on the field.

Jordy Nelson was a guest on the “Dan Patrick Show.” Given the “destroyification” of the Bears, the Packers receiver was in good spirits. Patrick asked him if he was getting Mike McCarthy a “present” for his 51st birthday today, and Nelson said no.

“I treat everybody equally, so I don’t get anyone gifts,” Nelson quipped. Eventually talk turned to “gag” gifts, and Nelson said that “most of the ones” Aaron Rodgers buys for teammates might be “too inappropriate” to talk about on-air.

“Last year for Christmas, I don’t know if I can explain it, it was an undergarment for men who might wear it if they were a stripper,” Nelson said.

“So it was a thong, a kind of Magic-Mike-type outfit?” Patrick wondered.

“Kind of yes,” Nelson replied. “And my question to him was, Did you actually stand in line to buy that, or did you buy it online? And he told me he stood in line, which I still don’t know if I can believe.”

I guess the Marc Trestman “experiment” is over. I don’t expect the Bears to fire him “mid-season” because that’s not “how this front office” does business, but for all “intents and purposes” it’s over.

This team is “lost,” it has no “soul.” That’s the most troubling sign after the last few weeks. I think everyone knew the “issues” going into the season, everyone expected the “Defense” to be bad and the “Offense” to get better but “neither” has happened.

They’ve both somehow “regressed,” and it’s how it’s happening that is the problem. Just look at “4 of the last 11″ games they’ve played.

More than “one third” of the time they’re getting “embarrassed.” Three out of eleven games the “opponent” has put up “50 points” plus.

That’s a team that isn’t “just” losing, that’s a team that is “lost, has no identity on who they are, or who they want to be.”

More importantly, it feels like Trestman has “lost” them too, which at the end of the day is the ultimate “nail in the coffin” for a Head Coach.

Whether it happens “mid-season or come January,” the Marc Trestman era is over barring a “miraculous” recovery that I just don’t see happening.

The Bears, the “pride” of Chicago is and always will be a “Bears” town. So to see them go up North and “lay” down, to have Aaron Rodgers and the entire Packer organization treat the Bears like a “High School football” team is a joke.

This “stings” because we expect more out of this “team and franchise.”

This “stings” because this is a team that “represents” our city.

The Bears have the “resources and history” to be a good football team and they’re not.

It’s “unacceptable” for the fans who “care so much” and it should be “unacceptable” for the McCaskey family.

Time to “reassess” everything from the “top down,” because if this isn’t “rock bottom” I don’t want to know “what” is.
