Country singer Kelsea Ballerini opened the CMT Music Awards with a tribute to victims of a school shooting while sharing in that community’s grief, then danced alongside “drag queens” as states across the country consider legally limiting “drag show” performances. You can now add #CountryMusic to the list of “woke” corporate entities that deserve their place in the garbage can of culture.

Ballerini, a co-host of the annual awards show with singer Kane Brown, opened the Austin, Texas, show by listing the names of six victims three adults and three 9-year-olds who were killed at The Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee. She noted how she shared their pain, explaining that in 2008 she witnessed a school shooting in her hometown high school cafeteria in Knoxville and prayed for “real action” that would protect children and families.
Her home state of Tennessee was the first to place strict limits on “drag show” performances, which were set to take effect this month. The law has been temporarily blocked after a lawsuit was filed earlier this week.
Country superstar and five-time Grammy winner Shania Twain was given the “Equal Play Award”, recognizing her for being a “visible and vocal advocate” for diverse voices in country music. Texas native and Grammy-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion introduced Twain, the pair dancing and hugging to Twain’s hit, “Man, I Feel Like a Woman.”
The lyrics to the song became an undercurrent to a decades-long career of advocacy, Twain said. “I promise I will continue to champion the many outstanding country artists that are not currently played, they are not currently streamed, toured, signed or awarded at the level they deserve,” Twain said. “I believe in an all-inclusive country music.”

This self-described “progressive Christian leader” preaches about issues of social justice including matters of race, transgenderism, and gun control. In reality, he is a Left-wing political activist masquerading as a preacher, using his platform to spread his political agenda instead of the word of God.
Wokeness is like a festering and infectious sore that pops up in one place, decimates its host, then moves on to endlessly repeat that process until the whole landscape is dry, barren and devoid of life. But when you add something else to wokeness, like say, transgenders and drag queens, then it becomes something altogether different. It becomes “demonic.”
So, one week after transgender “killer” Audrey Hale executed 6 souls in Nashville, the CMT Music Awards took to the stage in Austin to rub “drag queens” in your face while calling for “gun control”. The fact that this has not caused immediate outrage among Conservatives, gun owners and most of all Christians shows you how “spiritually” dead we’ve become as a nation. “So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” (Revelation 3:16)
You can mark this down, the single-most important “hot button” issue of our day is whether or not we allow “transgenders” and “drag queens” into the Church of Jesus Christ. We have already allowed them in our society and culture, and while you may not have the stomach to say this publicly (as a Christian should), these things are wickedness, they are demonic, and they are paving the way for the arrival of Antichrist.
To the degree that you support “transgenders” and “drag queens”, to that same degree you “deny” Jesus Christ. So go ahead, fake country music “Christians”, celebrate your diversity and inclusion, but know this. You are burning up any and all rewards you may have had at the Judgment Seat of Christ.
