Senile Nancy Pelosi, a former House speaker, appeared to have flipped a central principle of the U.S. justice system by stating that those who have been accused of crimes have “the right to a trial to prove innocence” and that Donald Trump, too, has “that right.” “The Grand Jury has acted upon the facts and the law,” Pelosi wrote on Twitter. “No one is above the law, and everyone has the right to a trial to prove innocence. Hopefully, the former President will peacefully respect the system, which grants him that right.”
The California Democrat was immediately hit with a barrage of criticism about her statement, including from numerous prominent politicians and figures. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), whose extensive work as an attorney included arguing cases before the Supreme Court, called Pelosi’s comment “backwards” and said she had made a “mockery of our justice system.”
“This tweet—and the indictment it’s praising—is a mockery of our justice system. Pelosi says Trump has a “right” to “prove his innocence.” That’s exactly BACKWARDS: Under our Constitution, you’re innocent until proven guilty. The indictment is frivolous & an abuse of power.” pic.twitter.com/E6qkCO0SrN — Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) March 31, 2023
While Pelosi has not retracted her statement, Twitter attached a “context” note to her tweet, saying the former speaker was mistaken to invert the justice system and citing Cornell Law School’s legal encyclopedia. The tweet had garnered nearly 14 million views and 45,000 comments at the time of publishing.
Former “gavel ponder” Nancy Pelosi was eviscerated on social media after claiming that former President Donald Trump has a “right to prove innocence” following news that a Manhattan grand jury voted to indict him.
Nancy did something really great, she gave the entire country a lesson, not in civics, but in how Democrats view the justice system it applies to the people they don’t like. Pelosi tweeted that Donald Trump gets the chance to go to court to “prove his innocence”, but that’s not how the American justice system operates. A person, no matter how “heinously” accused, is presumed to be “innocent” to start with, and that the “burden of proof” is on the state. So thank you, senile Nancy, for showing us all how Democrats view justice.
“When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.” (Proverbs 29:2)
The “blue circus” is back in town. If Trump, who is 76, is jailed over the claims he paid hush money to porn star Stormy Daniels then he will most likely end up at Rikers Island infirmary – which houses some of the city’s most notorious criminals. Can you imagine Donald Trump sitting in Rikers Island jail? For those of you who are not from the New York Tri-State Area, Rikers is a literal “hell hole”, a disgusting prison that exists for the whole purpose of defeating and demoralizing anyone sent there. It is ranked as one of the worst prison in the United States.
They may not be able to convict Trump, but while they have him, they will do everything and anything in their power to destroy him, you can count on that. Pray for Donald Trump, not to become president again necessarily, but to make it through this coming storm in one piece.
I love the image below created by AI, showing what it might look like to see Donald Trump arrested, a depiction that I am quite sure Donald Trump would relish. The every-man super-patriot, fighting back against “The Swamp” and “The System”, going down in a heroic “blaze of glory.” But in real life, however, his arrest and handcuffing will like be done “off-camera” so as to not make a “martyr out of him.” So you can expect Trump will do something to “spice things up” just a tad.
“For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish; it will be utterly ruined.” (Isaiah 60:12)
Donald Trump has finally been indicted. The charges against him are unfounded, Third World-style political targeting, but the media considers him guilty until proven innocent. This indictment has further polarized our already divided country, pushing many formerly hesitant voters to back Trump—while his rabid haters salivate at the prospect of him going to prison. Coincidentally, the wall-to-wall media coverage of the Trump indictment helps the Biden administration hide how bad America’s problems really are. Barack Obama’s fundamental transformation of the United States is now almost completed.
