Respect 04

Aretha Franklin sings out the word “Respect” several times throughout her song, but that doesn’t mean Harvard-educated President Obama knows “how to spell it.”

All he had to do was “quote” the song. But something tells me President “Clueless” Obama doesn’t know the song.

Respect 01

During a speech at the “Women of Soul” concert series, which was “hosted” at the White House, President Obama spoke about the “impact” that many great artists had on the “fight for equality.”

However, when Obama went to quote Aretha Franklin’s famous song “Respect”, he got a little caught up in the moment, and like a nervous contestant at a “spelling bee” competition, he accidentally missed a letter.

Obama told the crowd: “When Aretha first told us what “R-S-P-E-C-T” meant to her, she had no idea it would become a rallying cry for African Americans, and women, and then everyone who felt marginalized because of what they looked like or who they loved. They wanted some respect.”

The crowd immediately “chuckled” following the slip-up, but the President “pushed” right past it.

You’ve got to “rspect” that follow-through.

Respect 03

Not to be “left out” of the festivities Michelle Obama chimed in quoting Pattie LaBelle as once saying that she had succeeded because she “took chances and sang my butt off.”

The first lady tried her own riff on that advice: “Find your own voice and be proud of it,” she said. “And then, sing your butt off. Or work your butt off. Or whatever you do, do it until your butt comes off. “

Then she added: “OK, that quote is going to be kind of funny in the papers. I already know it. My communications people are like, ‘What?’ But you guys all know what I meant – be good at what you do. “

Anyone reading the “official transcript” of the event provided by the White House would have had “no idea of the president’s mistake.” In that version, the president correctly spells out the word.

“When Aretha first told us what “R.E.S.P.E.C.T.” meant to her, she had no idea it would become a rallying cry for African Americans, and women, and then everyone who felt marginalized because of what they looked like or who they loved,” the White House transcript read.

Respect 02

It’s not the “first time” the official White House transcript has “edited” Obama’s misstatements.

During the state visit of French President François Hollande last month, Obama referred to French political scientist Alexis de Tocqueville as “Alex.” But the White House “transcript” released shortly after used the Frenchman’s “correct” first name.

No word on whether Obama’s “gaffe” was caused by a “teleprompter” malfunction. Rumor has it that his prepared remarks were “inadvertently” loaded into the machine in Austrian, causing him to become “discombobulated.”

It’s a laughable gaffe, but since the “Smartest Man Alive” who has visited all 57 states and speaks fluent Austrian did it, it was probably “lack of grammar skills” or the classic, “Shut up, you’re a racist for noticing.”

The A, B, C… is not always as easy as 1, 2, 3. And with the new “Common Core” curriculum even the leader of the free world and his wife get frequently “tongue” tied.

Harvard must be so “proud” of Barry and Michelle.

Obama is a “chronically incompetent, economically illiterate, morally reprehensible, duplicitous fraud.”

Even though he cannot “spell,” he is going to be successful at bringing about the “destruction” of America through “implosion, revolution or civil war.”

When did “We the People” allow someone else to “divide” us?

We should probably begin by remembering how to “respect” each other and go about the work of “taking our country” back, because this “prattle” is not doing one bit of good.
