John Wooten, head of the “Fritz Pollard Alliance” that monitors diversity in the NFL, said he’s expecting the NFL to “enact” a rule making it a 15-yard penalty if a player uses the “N-word” on the field.
According to a report by Jason La Canfora for CBSsports, if a player made a second infraction by saying the “N-word” again they would be ejected.
Wooten spoke about the possible “penalty” during the combine, according to CBS.
“I will be totally shocked if the competition committee does not uphold us on what we’re trying to do,” Wooten said.
“We want this word to be policed from the parking lot to the equipment room to the locker room. Secretaries, PR people, whoever, we want it eliminated completely and want it policed everywhere.”
Baltimore Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome said the “competition” committee is looking at any “unintended” consequences of the “potential” penalty rule, which may be “adopted” at the NFL owners meeting late March.
The “hand signal” to be used by referees has yet to be decided and negotiations are underway to avoid “copyright” infringement suits.

With a majority of “black” players involved in the NFL are “racial slurs” really an issue?
Pittsburgh Steelers safety Ryan Clark said that it will be “difficult” for the NFL to police the use of the “N-word” with 15-yard penalties, especially because the word is used so often, primarely by “black” players.
“I think it’s going to be really tough to legislate this rule, to find a way to penalize everyone who uses this word,” Clark said on Sunday during ESPN’s Outside the Lines’ special report on the “N-word”.
“And it’s not going to be white players using it toward black players. Most of the time you hear it, it’s black players using the word.”
It should be noted, however, that with the increasing revelations of “alternative lifestyles” player confessions like “honky, creepy ass cracka, whitey, blue-eyed devil, faggot, bitch” are still acceptable for use on the field.
“Whites, Latinos, Orientals, and Jewish” players are exempt from this 15-yard penalty rule.
