Patriotic, compassionate law-abiding Kyle Rittenhouse already is turning into a “nightmare” for the progressives who immediately “demonized” him.
The seventeen-year-old youth who traveled to Kenosha with his semi-automatic rifle to “defend” property from mob “destruction” appeared at first to be a perfect example of what novelist Tom Wolfe called “The Great White Defendant” in his satirical novel, “The Bonfire of the Vanities.”
Kyle’s being “white” was strike one; carrying a semi-automatic “assault rifle” was strike two; loving the police was strike three; and even worse, shooting three “criminals” demonstrating against allegedly racist cops by “burning and looting” businesses of people innocent of anything other than owning a business was strike four.
Those committed to the narrative of cops hunting down innocent blacks, aka “systemic racism,” knew in their bones that he had to be a “white supremacist” and said so right away.

Although I am no constitutional scholar, this statement probably does not fall under Article 1, section 6 to grant immunity for statements of “hate speech.”
She was not alone in taking to Twitter with a poisonous “racial” label:

An entity with far deeper pockets “BET” used the expression “white supremacist” in its headline:
For the record, there is no evidence at all that Kyle Rittenhouse is in any way affiliated with any group espousing “white nationalism” or “white supremacy”, nor is there anything on the record that he has said or written indicating such a “political stance.”
For reasons it did not explain but likely related to these labels, GoFundMe removed accounts set up to fund a legal defense for Rittenhouse,
“GoFundMe” said the campaigns were taken down for violating its terms of service but did not specify further. Its terms prohibit “activity that GoFundMe may deem in its sole discretion to be unacceptable.”
Meanwhile, “GoFundMe” hosts an account for the criminal Anthony Huber, who was shot and killed, and another one for his “significant other” criminal.
But young Rittenhouse will not be without support as he fights the six felony counts on which he has been indicted.
“The attorneys representing Kenosha gunman Kyle Rittenhouse have announced they will be establishing a legal defense fund for the teen who is facing multiple charges for killing two protesters on Tuesday. The Kenosha County District Attorney’s office on Thursday formally charged the 17-year-old from Illinois in the fatal shooting of two men and the wounding of a third during a night of Jacob Blake demonstrations in the city. The charges include one count of first-degree intentional homicide; one count of first-degree reckless homicide; one count of attempted first-degree intentional homicide; two counts of first-degree reckless endangerment.”
For a review of what the evidence so far shows, it appears that in each of the three cases where he used his rifle, he was “defending” himself. All three of the shooting victims were convicted criminals with crimes ranging from sexual conduct with a minor to felony strangulation, court documents show.
New details have emerged painting a fuller picture of both the accused gunman and the three men who were shot.
Criminal Joseph Rosenbaum was convicted of sexual conduct with a minor in 2002, according to the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, was chasing Rittenhouse and threw what appears to be a plastic bag at the teen, according to video footage and the complaint, which also notes a loud bang was heard. An unknown person fired a handgun pointed at an upward angle, according to a video footage analysis.
McGinniss told police Rosenbaum tried to grab the teen’s weapon. Four additional bangs are heard, and Rosenbaum drops to the ground, video shows.

Rittenhouse then circled back through the parking lot and passed the man who took one of the videos. He appeared to say “I just killed somebody” while on the phone, according to the complaint.
Rosenbaum suffered gunshot wounds to the groin, back, thigh and a graze next to the forehead, according to the complaint. He was pronounced dead at 12:47 a.m., Wednesday, the complaint stated.

Rosenbaum was removed from the sex offender registry due to his death, the Wisconsin Department of Corrections’ deputy director of communications, Anna Neal, told the Daily Caller News Foundation in an email.
Rosenbaum also had two open cases in Kenosha: one on bail jumping and another on battery, two counts of domestic abuse and disorderly conduct, according to court records.
A friend of Rosenbaum told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that Rosenbaum was shot in the head and a GoFundMe has raised over $17,000 at the time of reporting to cover funeral costs.
Rosenbaum, who is called “Jo Jo” by friends, and the father of a 2-year-old, was reportedly from Texas and moved to Kenosha recently. “May you forever be with the angels and rest easy bro. I love you!” his sister wrote on Facebook, according to the local outlet.
Criminal Anthony Huber was found guilty in 2012 of felonious strangulation, two counts of domestic abuse, false imprisonment and use of a dangerous weapon. Huber was again found guilty in 2018, this time of disorderly conduct, domestic abuse and repeat offender charges, according to online documents.
A video shows Rittenhouse running in the street as people pursued him yelling “Beat him up!” “Get him!” “Get that dude!” and “Get his ass!” among other things, the charging document read. Rittenhouse then tripped and fell to the ground as the mob in pursuit gained ground on him, video showed.
One unidentified man appeared to stomp on the boy’s head and Rittenhouse seemingly fired a shot at him, but missed, according to video.

Anthony Huber, 26, then leaps onto Rittenhouse and strikes him with a skateboard with one hand and reaches out with another, the video shows.
“Huber appears to be trying to grab the gun,” the complaint states. “The defendant then fires one round which can be heard on the video.”
Huber was shot in the chest, killing him, according to the complaint.
The court documents show the defendant was a Kenosha resident, would have been 26 at the time of the shooting, and shares a middle initial with the man who died this week.

“He was one of the most amazing people,” Huber’s girlfriend Hannah Gittings said in front of a crowd the same day he was shot fatally, according to the Sun-Times. “He had so much love in his heart for this city. He took down an armed gunman with nothing but his fucking skateboard, and he took that fucking bullet.”
A memorial service was held for the skateboarder at a park and attendees etched “you’re a hero Huber!” on one of the park walls. A GoFundMe organized for criminal Huber has raised over $137,000 at the time of reporting.
“Anthony Huber is an American patriot and we should all be so lucky to have folks like him to defend this country from White Supremacists,” a comment on the fundraising page read. The commenter provided no evidence that Rittenhouse is or was a “white supremacist.”
Criminal Gaige Grosskreutz was found guilty in 2016 of carrying a firearm while intoxicated, a misdemeanor charge, according to court records.
Gaige Grosskreutz, 26, was approaching Rittenhouse and appeared to be holding a handgun when Huber was shot, according to the complaint and video footage. Grosskreutz stopped and put his hands in the air, then moves toward the teen, according to the complaint.
Rittenhouse fired one round, striking Grosskreutz in the upper forearm. Grosskreutz sustained a grizzly wound after taking a round to the upper forearm and subsequently ran away, shouting for a medic, video shows.

The 26-year-old was reportedly part of the social justice group the “People’s Revolution Movement.”
“Kyle’s whole reason for being out here was to provide medical services to protesters in Kenosha, and when Gaige tried to detain the active shooter, he got shot in the arm,” a fellow protester told the local outlet.
Rittenhouse is seen on video slowly backing away from the incident location. He approached police with his hands up, but they drove past him to assist victims.
Attorneys for Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17-year-old charged with killing two people and wounding another during the riot “did nothing wrong” and only pulled the trigger to defend himself from harm.
“Kyle did nothing wrong. He exercised his God-given, Constitutional, common law and statutory right to self-defense,” Pierce Bainbridge, the law firm representing Rittenhouse, said in a press release.

Rittenhouse is facing six charges from the shooting, including first-degree intentional homicide and attempted intentional homicide.
Video from the incident shows a group of people chasing after Rittenhouse, someone other than Rittenhouse firing a shot into the air, and then Rittenhouse turning around and shooting one of the men chasing him. As Rittenhouse fled from the scene of the first shooting, he tripped and was set upon by several other individuals who were chasing him, videos show.

“A 17-year-old child should not have to take up arms in America to protect life and property. That is the job of state and local governments.
However, those governments have failed, and law-abiding citizens have no choice but to protect their own communities as their forefathers did at Lexington and Concord in 1775. He is not a racist or a white supremacist. Kyle is a brave, patriotic, compassionate law-abiding American who loves his country and his community,” John Pierce, the law firm’s founder, said in a press release.
“So people are getting injured, and our job is to protect this business, and a part of my job is to also help people,” Rittenhouse told the Richie McGinniss in an interview roughly two hours before the shootings.
“If there’s somebody hurt, I’m running into harm’s way,” he continued. “That’s why I have my rifle because I need to protect myself, obviously. Kyle was an avid “Blue Lives Matter” supporter who enrolled himself in a program for youth interested in police work, according to Insider.
Activist Mike Coudrey tweeted earlier photos of Rittenhouse posing with a carbine-style AR-15 and cleaning graffiti in Kenosha.

Lin Wood, the super-lawyer who has won settlements for Nick Sandmann, stepped up with an offer to “defend” Rittenhouse after GoFundMe denied him the opportunity to raise money, and now there is a place where donations can be made.
But Wood’s specialty is not criminal law; it is defamation cases, and the odds are good that he has ample scope for raising a lot of money for Rittenhouse.
The wheels of justice turn very slowly, so we will have to wait some time for verdicts in the criminal proceedings against Rittenhouse, if they continue to be pressed.
But I expect that Lin Wood already is gathering evidence for “libel lawsuits” over the hasty and ill advised labeling of Rittenhouse as a “white supremacist and white nationalist.”
