“Quid pro quo” is a Latin phrase used in English to mean an exchange of goods or services, in which one transfer is contingent upon the other; “a favor for a favor”. Phrases with similar meanings include: “give and take”, “tit for tat”, “you scratch my back, and I’ll scratch yours”, and “one hand washes the other.”
Former President Barack Hussein Obama was a masterful king of using “Quid Pro Quo“ to show how a U.S. President can achieve “immunity” from impeachment for soliciting foreign adversary assistance to enable re-election by “quid-pro-quo” with “quid” as foreign assistance and “quo” as post election flexibility to reward the foreign adversary for the “quid.”
Obama’s constitutionally clever technique was to directly make the “quid-pro-quo” by himself alone with the foreign leader rather than relying upon his “underlings” to read between the lines in order to know how to do so.
Obama assured Putin to defer invasion of Crimea (i.e., “quid”) until after Obama’s 2012 defeat of Romney, who had claimed Putin wanted to invade or attack former Soviet states such as Ukraine, in response to which Obama mocked Romney’s assertion by saying to Romney: “The 1980’s are calling to get their Russia-distrusting foreign-policy back.” And when Putin waited (i.e, “quid”) until after the 2012 election to seize Crimea and invade Eastern Ukraine, Obama showed flexibility (i.e., “quo”) by merely providing “blankets and MREs” to Ukraine rather than “lethal-weapons assistance.“
Thus, it shouldn’t be shocking that during the 2016 election campaign, in which Trump often expressed his desire for some form of “detente” with Russia, influential Ukrainians with tacitly passive approval, if not overt approval and/or encouragement from the U.S. Ambassador, Marie Yovanovitch, exhibited overt “hostility” towards the possible election of Trump and collaborated with representatives of Hillary’s campaign against Trump.
In other words, Obama told Putin through Medvedev “Quid me with your temporary restraint and I’ll quo you with my permanent passivity” to interfere with U.S. election by acting with forbearance in accordance with U.S. President’s desire be able to successfully defeat opponent’s claim that foreign leader poses threat to U.S. so that thus accommodated U.S. President can defeat opponent and after such election show more “flexibility” to what foreign leader desires.
Biden’s “Quid Pro Quo” resulted in Ukraine to fire top prosecutor “investigating” Hunter Biden’s firm…
Biden openly “boasted” of threatening to withhold $1 billion in U.S. aid if Ukraine’s president did not “fire” Shokin, who at the time was investigating the company “paying” his son, Hunter Biden, $83,000 a month to serve on its board.
Democrats “Quid Pro Quo” was to vote against the Ukrainian “Aid Package” but want to “impeach” President Trump over their “refusal.”
This takes an amazing level of stupid to try to impeach Trump for something the “Impeach Committee” did themselves. You can’t make up this incredible “hypocrisy” nor the extraordinary “bubble” these politicians live in and think no one would notice their false arguments.
What you’re missing during the “impeachment” saga…
Vote out the “Do Nothing Democrats!” Better yet, arrest them all for “treason.”
