How about a big dose of “tough love” for all the pathetic college crybabies in mourning over the “election” results?
After the Trump victory, several American colleges are “cancelling classes/exams” and offering their little snowflakes “grief counseling.”
Barnard College, at Columbia University, a women’s “liberal arts” college based in New York City, has given professors the opportunity to “cancel classes” and is offering students counseling after the “heightened emotions” caused by the election.
”The Barnard faculty is well aware that you may be struggling, and they are here for you,” read an email from the college president and dean.
Columbia University hosted at least five such “counseling” spaces, only one of which was “advertised” before the results came in, to help students “process” what just happened.
Harvard University hosted a “post-election discussion and reflection for students of color” according to a “mental health” representative at the college.
American University is also holding a vigil for students “who needed a quiet, safe place to reflect and talk” about the election Wednesday.
A Yale University professor made an exam “optional” to allow his students to “cope” with their psychological “devastation” from Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential election.
Dozens of students at Cornell University gathered on a major campus thoroughfare for a “cry-in” to mourn the results of the 2016 presidential election Wednesday, with school staff providing “tissues and hot chocolate.”
At Tufts University, arts and crafts were on offer. And the University of Kansas reminded students via social media of the “therapy dogs” available for comfort.
Plymouth State University community advisor Kirsten Elizabeth is doing what she can to help students “cope” with their emotions following Tuesday’s “historic” election.
“Today during my office hours, 4PM to 7PM, I will be bringing my personal coloring books, crayons, markers and colored pencils for anyone to use in order to DE-stress and relax from the election results,” she posted to Facebook.
“Please do not hesitate to reach for help, whether it is to me, the rest of the Community Advisor and Residential Life University Apartment staff, the Counseling Center, the Helping Center, your friends and family or your professors,” Elizabeth wrote. “None of you are alone.”
An astronomy lecturer at the University of Maryland canceled a test scheduled for Wednesday morning, writing to students that he “worried“ some of their performances may be affected by “the monumental effort necessary to accept what must be a personally threatening election result.”
A professor at the University of Southern California Rossier School of Education, also “canceled” his Wednesday class. He told the 11 students in his PhD. “statistics” course on election night that “they didn’t have to come if they didn’t want to.”
North Carolina State offered “counseling services” for those who need it after a presidential election. Let that “sink” in.
At Penn State, one student even reported that her friend was “forced” to teach her physics class after the professor had to “dismiss” herself to receive counseling over the election result.
University of Michigan students occupied the school’s library where they held a “candlelight” vigil to protest Trump’s victory.
Professors at the University of Connecticut, University of Rochester and Iowa State University cancelled classes because they simply couldn’t “face” the day.
“My prof canceled class to pull herself together after the election…@UW I’m paying a lot of fucking money to go to this damn school.” — Cale Woyvodich (@Cale_Woyvodich) November 9, 2016
At the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, Trump’s Alma mater, Jennifer Hutchens and Engineering junior Allison Caramico agreed, saying that they spent election night “crying with members of their sorority.”
Waking up in the morning, they “felt” that the only way they could keep themselves from “breaking down” again was to take action by joining a “solidarity” walk.
Montgomery County Public School (MCPS) in Maryland are offering therapy to students upset at President-elect Donald Trump’s victory. A message from superintendent Jack R. Smith states MCPS’s intent to assist “our staff and students in processing the outcome of Tuesday’s presidential election.”
“Counselors are available to help students process any concerns or feelings they have about the election. Curricular resources have been provided to assist teachers in discussing the election,” the letter states.
Little snowflakes from Berkeley High School, CA stormed out of class with their teachers. “Safe space” rooms at high schools and college campuses all over America are reporting “severe” overcrowding.
Due to “unprecedented” demands, America Campuses no longer will be able to supply “safe space” rooms for those in need of a “smack.“
So, for all you little “snowflakes” who are either “suicidal or homicidal” or both as a result of the Trump “victory”…
Even the “Mainstream Media” can’t keep it together.
I feel their “pain” and “love” every minute of it. These “snowflakes” need to get a handle on “themselves” before President Trump has to start “medicating” the school water supply.
